At Women’s Health and Cosmetic Services of Maryland, we offer several different treatment options for vaginal rejuvenation to restore feminine wellness and renew your intimacy. We serve residents in Baltimore, Annapolis, Glen Burnie and the surrounding areas.
For most patients, these are elective procedures, meaning they are not lifesaving, yet they may improve the quality of life for carefully selected patients.
Women's Health Services of Maryland offers surgical and non surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatment options and has performed hundreds of vaginal rejuvenation procedures with IntimaLase, IncontiLase, ProlapLase, ThermiVa, MonaLisa Touch® laser in Maryland. Our patients enjoy their lives with reduction and resolution of their stress incontinence symptoms as well as improvement of vaginal dryness, pain vaginal laxity syndromes.
Some of the different types of vaginal rejuvenation available at our clinic include:
Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure in which your doctor corrects abnormalities near the vaginal opening and tightens vaginal tissues. In doing so, you may notice increases in sexual gratification, more confidence, and restored, aesthetically pleasing vaginal contours.
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that tightens and improves the appearance of labia majora and labia minora tissues, located right outside your vagina. The procedure helps reduce loose or sagging skin to make you feel comfortable and help you gain self-confidence.
During vaginal revitalization, your doctor uses laser energy to gently heat vaginal tissue, stimulate collagen production, and promote new cell growth. Laser rejuvenation tightens vaginal tissue and reduces vaginal dryness, pain with intercourse, and urinary incontinence.
Some of the main benefits of vaginal rejuvenation include:
Vaginal rejuvenation with MonaLisa Touch® and FemSense PRP is a non-surgical method for vaginal rejuvenation.
We first apply fractional laser to the vaginal mucosal walls with an internal probe both inside and outside. This delivers laser energy internally and externally and helps improve collagen production in the vaginal mucosa. Once this step is done, this procedure will improve the internal vaginal area and improve the tissue texture of external vulva. This process also helps improve lubrication in the long run.
The second step involves application of purified plasma to the tissues.
Once these two steps are completed, the patients are able to go back to their daily life, usually without pain and minimal downtime.
IntimaLase is a new, non-surgical laser procedure to rejuvenate vaginal tissue and help improve women's sexual health. IntimaLase is effective for vulvar-vaginal atrophy as well as vaginal laxity as well ass stress incontinence. Vaginal atrophy is related to loss of natural estrogen production. Some women cannot or prefer not to take estrogen and sometimes hormones are ineffective. IntimaLase is effective at tightening the vaginal area or for vaginal changes after menopause. The IntimaLase procedure can also be performed during the IncontiLase treatment for urinary stress incontinence.

Vaginal laxity is common in women of any age who have had larger babies or multiple births. It can result in reduced sensation for both the woman and her partner. Excessive laxity may lead to reduced interest in intimacy and create stress in the relationship. IntimaLase tightens vaginal walls and increases collagen and elasticity to improve sensation and responsiveness. The IntimaLase procedure usually requires 3 treatments performed in our office about a month apart at a fraction of the cost of surgical treatment.
Costs will vary based on the specific treatment selected and the individual needs of the patient. All treatment costs and any possible financing options will be discussed prior to treatment at your personal consultation.
Laser vaginal rejuvenation is a non-surgical procedure that uses laser energy to stimulate collagen production in the vaginal tissue, which helps tighten the vaginal canal, improve lubrication, and reduce urinary incontinence.
Typically, the procedure takes about 30 minutes to an hour.
Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure, but it's generally recommended to avoid sexual intercourse and tampon usage for about a week.
Treatments can be surgical, like vaginoplasty (tightening of the vagina) and labiaplasty (reshaping of the labia), or non-surgical, like laser treatments and radiofrequency procedures.
Women who have experienced changes due to childbirth, aging, or other factors and are experiencing symptoms like vaginal laxity, dryness, discomfort during intercourse, or urinary incontinence may be good candidates.
Recovery time varies depending on the procedure. Non-surgical treatments typically have little to no downtime, while surgical procedures may require a few weeks of recovery.
Most non-surgical treatments are not painful and require no anesthesia. Surgical procedures are performed under anesthesia to ensure patient comfort. Most patients describe a feeling of mild discomfort rather than pain. The use of a local anesthetic cream can help to minimize discomfort.
The longevity of results varies depending on the type of procedure and individual patient factors. Non-surgical treatments may require maintenance sessions
As with any procedure, there are risks. These can include infection, changes in sensation, scarring, and dissatisfaction with aesthetic results. Non-surgical treatments may have fewer risks.
Most insurance companies consider vaginal rejuvenation a cosmetic procedure and do not cover it. However, if the procedure is being done for medical reasons, such as to alleviate urinary incontinence, it may be covered.
Some women report improved sexual satisfaction after vaginal rejuvenation due to increased vaginal tightness or reduced discomfort during intercourse.
The number of treatments varies depending on the procedure. Non-surgical treatments often require multiple sessions.
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that reshapes the labia, while vaginoplasty is a procedure that tightens the vagina.

Some procedures, particularly those that involve radiofrequency or laser treatment, may help with mild urinary incontinence.
